In the News: Take a trip to Another Era

A Celtic Tradition The Ryan Mansion was designed and oriented to the Summer Solstice and Fall Equinox. There are two windows as shown to the right that line up at sunrise on the day of the Summer Solstice. At the Fall Equinox the afternoon sun shines through a second story window, then through the space formed by the handrail of the main stairway, then through the ruby glass to finally cast a ruby light on the newel post of the back stairway for 3 to 5 minutes.
When the sun rises on and near the Summer Solstice it shines through the Ruby glass and casts a ruby light through the crystal of the entrance chandler then on the front door.
